- ➤ Chesapeake police responded to a domestic assault at an apartment complex on Willow Bridge Court just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when two officers were shot and taken to hospital with injuries that are not life threatening—authorities say they are still looking for the suspect and checking on a woman's status as officers secure the scene and close Greenbrier Parkway between City Park Drive and Kempsville Road. 13 News Now

- ➤ Hampton Public Library held a preview of the new PBS Kids series Weather Hunters on Wednesday—an event that came as federal funding cuts put about $2 million at risk for local station WHRO.
