- ➤ Chesapeake police identified David Frank Wade (56) as the pedestrian who was killed when a vehicle left the road and struck two men at the BP gas station (2155 S. Military Highway) on Tuesday; a woman driver and the other pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries and may face pending charges. 13 News Now

- ➤ Virginia State Police are investigating a shooting after a driver reported that someone fired at their vehicle on Thursday at 3:54 p.m. on I-64 near Greenbrier Parkway—a location set between Virginia Beach and Chesapeake—and police say no one is in danger. 3 WTKR
- ➤ Jarvis Green, a 35-year-old teacher at Churchland High School who also coached at Western Branch High School in Chesapeake, faces additional charges including seven counts of indecent liberties with a child, five counts of sodomy by force, three counts of rape, four counts of object sexual penetration and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor — court documents state the charges. 3 WTKR
