  • Chesapeake nurse Kevin Coolong surrendered his license on May 20 after he was accused of kissing and touching sedated patients during procedures at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and Sentara Leigh Hospital—permanent action taken following findings by the Virginia Board of Nursing.  3 WTKR

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Chesapeake residents raised concerns about a proposed 350,000 square foot data center on nearly 25 acres near Etheridge Manor Boulevard and Centerville Turnpike during a town meeting at Oscar Smith Middle School, noting fears of rising utility bills, noise, and more similar projects in the area. City officials said the final decision rests with City Council after the planning commission struck down the rezoning in May — a local group has organized an emergency meeting today at 6:30 p.m. at Hickory Ruritan Club — to review the potential impacts.  13 News Now
