- ➤ Chesapeake firefighters battled a residential fire on the 1200 block of Shillelagh Road on Sunday morning—arriving at 8:30 a.m. after citizens reported smoke and flames—and quickly controlled the blaze with no injuries as investigators remained on scene to determine the cause. 13 News Now

- ➤ Crews in Chesapeake broke ground on a new manufacturing facility for LS Greenlink Monday — the project covers nearly 100 acres, will include a 750,000 square foot building with a tower over 600 feet tall, and is expected to create more than 300 jobs. Governor Glenn Youngkin, U.S. Senator Tim Kaine, and the mayor of Chesapeake attended the event, and the facility will be completed in 2027. 3 WTKR
