ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ At about 10:30 a.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 1400 block of Drayton Road near Campostella Road and brought the flames under control by 11:15 a.m.—two residents and a dog were displaced while the Red Cross helped with temporary lodging as officials found the blaze was accidental. 13 News Now
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ An 8 year old boy was taken to the hospital after being hit by a driver allegedly under the influence at Bainbridge Boulevard and Holly Avenue in Chesapeake Wednesday morning—police said the boy was not seriously injured and that the driver, 60 year old Randolph Bias, was arrested and charged with a felony for a third conviction within 10 years and with two misdemeanor counts for driving without a license and refusal to take a breathalyzer test. 3 WTKR
- ➤ An 8-year-old boy was hit by a car on Wednesday at Bainbridge Boulevard and Holly Avenue around 7:34 p.m. and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries as the driver—60-year-old Randolph Bias—stayed on scene and was arrested, charged with a third DUI, driving after forfeiting his license, and refusing a breathalyzer test. 13 News Now
