🎭 Culture
Virginia Humanities awarded $211,896 to 19 local nonprofits across Hampton Roads from January to March—funding that will support cultural programs and help preserve local heritage.
The awards offer critical support to groups keeping our cultural stories alive.
🏛️ Government
Virginia lawmakers met on Wednesday to review Gov. Youngkin's changes — the new Senate Bill 854 limits social media use for children under 16 to one hour a day unless a parent gives permission.
They said the bill will take effect on January 1, 2026 — part of a package including state budget changes and consumer data rules.
